I am so excited for this new Healthy Ambitions!
I am going to be super honest in the fact that I have completely lost my workout/healthy mojo.
Finding the time to workout after long days at work or the will power to proactively go out of my way to make sure I have healthy food is quite a struggle.
BUT… that is how life is and will be so its time to make some changes.
I was complaining to one of my best friends at home (in a way you only can do to one of your besties) and she mentioned the AdvoCare Program that she uses, LOVES and sells because she believes in it so much.
AdvoCare has a 24 Day Challenge to help you cleanse, lean out, and tone up with world class products that are safe and banned-substance free. I am willing to try this program because on top of these its about eating clean and working out, which are the key staples to a lasting healthy lifestyle.
I mean Drew Brees is their National Spokes person so it can’t be too bad right??
So I signed up for the 24 day challenge! Yes, August is going to be a slim down and feel great month for me!
Don’t worry I will post throughout the month highlighting different products and show my grand improvements (well hopefully).

A true Colorado girl, Chisholm grew up skiing through the Rockies, dancing around ballet rooms, and loving life.

She, like many of us, has learned that our youthful metabolism is screeching to halt and that eating whatever we want and not working out is just not an option anymore!

I’m a BIG computer nerd! And I love it!
A normal day at work for me consists of building servers, troubleshooting, talking about telecom, IT, fax servers, installations…nerd stuff!
I’m obsessed with airports!
Some people eat to live. I live to EAT! I loooove food! Big big big foodie right here!

How do you find the balance between living a healthy lifestyle and enjoying and living your life?
Live by the 80/20 rule! Eat clean and workout 80% of the time. And for the other 20% (which are the weekends for me) let loose and have fun! This rule is a great way to keep me disciplined and appreciate those moments where I can eat a cheeseburger!
Why did you start AdvoCare and why are you such a huge advocate for it?
I work in an office and felt “blubby” and wanted to lose some weight. My friend Kayla introduced me to the 24 Day Challenge, which is AdvoCare’s weight loss management system. I decided to give it a shot since she had such great results from her challenge. I can honestly say, doing the 24 Day Challenge was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I was transformed in the most positive and rewarding way, I lost the unwanted weight I was carrying, and it was a HUGE learning experience. I was taught how to eat correctly and keep the weight off. Coming from a gal who used to eat fast food 3+ times a week and never worked out, this changed my life! After the 24 days, I carried those lessons learned with me, and I have never felt better!

First thought in the morning and your morning routine?
First thought: I want to go back to bed.
Wake up, go to the gym for an hour, and then juice with my boyfriend for breakfast! We recently bought a juicer and we are hooked! After that, I’m pumped with energy and off to work!
What is your comeback answer when people won’t stop insisting you eat a piece of cake ?
I’m very stubborn. If I don’t want to do something, I’ll hold my ground until the other person gives up. Mwahaha.
What is the biggest obstacle you face by living a healthy lifestyle today?
Giving up my old habits. I love burgers and fried food and ice cream, but if I constantly stay on that unhealthy track, I know I won’t be happy with my body. At times it’s hard fighting my cravings, but the good news is that it’s totally worth it in the end.
What has been the most rewarding moment so far from working directly with AdvoCare?
Definitely surrounding myself with people who have lifted me higher! It’s been a very rewarding experience knowing I’ve made a difference in someone’s life, and I am also part of a very supportive and positive team at AdvoCare. Even though this is something I do as my “Plan B” and on top of my full-time job, it has become such a big part of me and has been a huge blessing over the past 8 months since I joined.
Why is spreading the healthy lifestyle mentality so important to you?
Because I used to be one of those people who never believed in it, who never saw the point, and I thought I was fine the way I was. But then life hits you and my stubborn a** had to accept the fact that I won’t forever have the metabolism of a 12 year old. I knew that I needed to make a change if I wanted to be confident with my body again. And I thought this change was going to suck but once I crossed that bridge, I was so happy that I did and started to look after my health! Not only do I look better, but I FEEL better too. After all, if you don’t take care of your body, where are you going to live???
Any other thoughts or words of wisdom for the Latte readers on health and happiness?
YES! From your fellow Latte gal/stubborn chick/#1 cheeseburger fan….change is NOT a bad thing! Living a healthy lifestyle is something that took me forever to accept because I thought I was the exception to the rule…but I am your average human being and I can tell you that living this way is sooo worth it! And I can still eat my favorite cheeseburgers! Just work your butt off and take care of your body and eat right and keep the burgers in moderation 😉
