As I have been mentioning, I have been attending hot yoga classes on a weekly basis lately.
I love it because it is far more than just a “workout”. It’s almost like your own personal church…
It is a period of time when you connect your body and mind. You attempt to “quiet” your mind of the noise that society and the world surround you with everyday, which I still have been far from successfully mastering.
But it is the place I go when I am feeling unstable and need to feel grounded or uplifted.
“Namaste” is typically a saying that you end each class with accompanied by a bow. It represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart chakra. The gesture is an acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another.
Although, I have ended my practice with this countless times, last night the meaning really struck me.
Every person, has a fire inside them, that ignites their personality, their soul, their beliefs, their actions and regardless of what color, religion, age or gender you are, we all have that magical spark and it is something that should be acknowledged.
To me, it seems that sometimes people forget that we are all human, we are all so lucky to have been given that spark.
It seems people tend to see each other for their differences instead of reminding themselves that life is precious and that it is something that should be respected, no matter what the difference may be.
I loved the saying and can’t imagine how the world would be if everyone decided to live by it.
Just a small revelation I had that I thought I would share.
Happy Tuesday!!! xox
