Happy Monday Everyone!
A co-worker of mine came up to me right when I got to work today and said “We are going to make it a GREAT week!” Which is just the kind of positive reinforcement I needed this morning! Love it!
How was everyone’s weekend?
I have been making a point to try new things and experience new places on the weekends, to spice up the mundane schedule of the work week and this weekend was no different!
So here is my weekend recap, plus a delicious healthy banana bread recipe at the end!
Attended my first Warehouse Sale this weekend in Alexandria with a group of girl friends!
We had a blast seeing all the different vendors but quickly realized that you have to be very aggressive when shopping in this environment!
Check back this afternoon, to see what great finds I found!
What’s a girls shopping outing without lunch?
We headed over to a cute bakery in Old Town that we all had been wanting to try called Society Fair.
The atmosphere was so cute!
Kinda a quirky, glam French cafe.
My obsession for chandeliers was only enhanced by visiting this restaurant.
Now for the Banana Bread:
Banana bread and the Super Bowl really don’t go together but Ryan and I had so many extra banana’s, I thought I would just give it a shot!
Here is the recipe!
Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients up to the flour. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Add flour mixture to the wet mixture and stir until just combined. Pour batter into a large loaf pan and bake 50-60 minutes on 350, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool and enjoy!
Hope you all had a fun weekend and I am sharing the positive vibes.
It’s going to be a good week, because we will make it that way!
