No one ever said making the commitment to be healthy and active was going to be easy. Waking up at 5:30 every morning to hit the gym, definitely doesn’t seem easy or fun at times but the benefits have definitely been worth it.
As I mentioned a few days ago, I have been following the Holiday Hottie Series from Tone It Up and needless to say, I am sore and content with my progress!
So I thought I would introduce you to some new things to try out this week.
First, the protein pancake.
Yes, pancakes for breakfast. Healthy ones, packed full of protein to start your day off right!
1/4 cup of egg whites
1 scoop of protein powder
A splash of almond milk
and any spice of your choice (Cinnamon is my favorite)
Pour into a pan on low to medium heat and cook like a pancake
Serve with a bit of agave nectar and your choice of fruit! (Personally, I love Bananas)
Now, for the real challenge!
One of the biggest hurdles especially in the winter, is not wanting to walk out in the cold to go to the gym. This workout you can do in your home tonight while watching The Voice (yes, I am addicted to this show right now!).
I challenge you to try it out.
